Grievance Redressal Cell

Our institute has established a Grievance Redressal system which functions both informally, under the direct supervision of the Principal, and formally through our Online Feedback Suggestion Form and Online Grievance Cell.

Purpose

The main objectives of the Grievance Redressal cell include:

  • Maintaining a democratic atmosphere on campus.
  • Informing faculty and students about their respective rights and responsibilities.
  • Addressing various personal and academic concerns of teachers and students.
  • Enhancing the student experience in the institution and promoting both qualitative and quantitative institutional growth through the grievance and redressal process.

Composition

The Grievance Redressal Cell typically comprises two or three faculty members with the principal serving as the chairperson. The composition of the cell may be revised annually based on the discretion of the principal and recommendations from the administrative committee.

Functions

The primary function of the Grievance Redressal Cell is to assist its stakeholders. For instance, the member listed first in the cell is responsible for regularly reviewing the Online Feedback Suggestion Form and Online Grievance Cell Form, typically on Saturdays, to address concerns. All grievances are subsequently reported to the principal.

Powers

The members of the Grievance Redressal Cell are equipped to:

  • Address issues through discussions with students or relevant parties.
  • Refer unresolved matters to the principal for a conclusive decision.
  • Conduct a comprehensive inquiry into grievances and seek resolutions through dialogue. In cases where individuals are identified as causing disruptions, appropriate actions are taken in consultation with the principal. Potential actions include verbal or written warnings, notifying parents, imposing fines, involving the police (if necessary), and possible expulsion in accordance with institutional guidelines.
